This was a fun piece we made with Resurrection Furniture for Art in the Park in April of 2018.
We were asked by Resurrection to choose any material they had and do something with it. When we visited, we saw some cable spools, chose one and requested them to chop off a bit of the base to make it lay sideways. The idea was to mimic a spool of thread, but with leather strips. The strips were planned out to be detachable for easy cleaning and maintenance.
